The EGO POWER+ Z6 e-Steer ZT4205S combines true zero-turn maneuverability with the familiar control of a steering wheel. EGO’s electronically controlled e-Steer™ technology allows the mower to drive with car-like handling while making precise zero-radius turns around trees, flower beds, fences, pathways, and other landscaping obstacles.

Powered by EGO’s Peak Power™ technology, the mower can combine energy from up to six 56V ARC Lithium™ batteries. The ZT4205S delivers performance comparable to a 22 HP gas-powered zero-turn mower, without gasoline, engine oil, exhaust fumes, spark plugs, or traditional gas-engine maintenance. The 22 HP figure is a gas-engine performance equivalent rather than the rated horsepower of a gasoline engine.

The kit includes four 56V 12.0Ah ARC Lithium batteries, providing enough energy to mow up to approximately 2.5 acres per charge under suitable conditions. All six battery ports can be used, allowing owners to install additional compatible batteries and extend runtime for larger properties. EGO’s 56V batteries can also be shared with compatible tools across the EGO POWER+ platform.

Four independent brushless motors deliver responsive drive and cutting power with fewer maintenance components than a conventional gas zero-turn mower. Each cutting blade has its own motor, eliminating a traditional deck-belt drive system and providing consistent power to the cutting deck.

The 42-inch stamped-steel deck uses two standard cutting blades and offers a three-in-one mowing system. It is configured for side discharge and can also support mulching and bagging with the appropriate compatible accessories. The deck provides 10 cutting-height positions from 1.5 to 4.5 inches, making it easy to adapt the cut to grass type, growth conditions, and the desired lawn finish.

Operators can select among three driving modes:

• Control Mode for precise, manageable movement
• Standard Mode for everyday mowing
• Sport Mode for quicker response and maximum productivity

The mower reaches a maximum travel speed of approximately 8 MPH and can mow at speeds up to approximately 7 MPH. Blade speed and travel speed are variable, allowing the operator to balance runtime, cutting performance, and ground speed according to lawn conditions.

A digital interface displays important operating information, including driving speed, driving mode, cruise-control status, battery charge, blade speed, and lighting status. Premium equipment includes Bluetooth connectivity, a USB charging port, integrated phone storage, and 32 LED lights positioned around the front, sides, and rear for improved visibility.

The adjustable hydraulic suspension seat helps reduce vibration and supports a more comfortable mowing experience across large properties. The mower also has an IPX4-rated weather-resistant construction, providing added protection against ordinary outdoor moisture and changing mowing conditions. It should still be stored in a protected, dry location when not in use.

With the four included 12.0Ah batteries, the supplied multi-port charging system can recharge the mower in approximately 2.5 hours under suitable conditions. The charger can simultaneously charge batteries installed in the mower, reducing the need to remove and charge them individually.

Technical Specifications

Runtime varies according to grass height, moisture, cutting height, terrain, blade speed, driving speed, battery condition, temperature, and mowing-pass overlap. EGO notes that mulching or bagging can use approximately 20% more energy than side discharge, reducing estimated acreage per charge.

The mulch plug, mulching blades, ABK4200 bagger, storage bin, sun shade, utility cart, and other accessories are sold separately unless specifically included by the retailer. EGO confirms that the mower ships with standard cutting blades rather than dedicated mulching blades.
